Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and creative Part-Time Virtual Reality (VR) Specialist to design, develop, and implement immersive VR experiences that support our organization's goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in 3D modeling, VR software, and interactive design, as well as a keen eye for detail and user experience.

Essential Functions

  • Design and develop interactive VR environments, simulations, and experiences using industry-standard tools and platforms (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar).
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, or other project stakeholders to translate concepts and data into immersive virtual experiences.
  • Optimize VR content for performance, visual quality, and user engagement.
  • Integrate assets such as 3D models, animations, and lighting to create realistic and functional environments.
  • Test and troubleshoot VR applications to ensure smooth performance across different hardware and platforms (e.g., Meta Quest, HTC Vive, Varjo, etc.).
  • Stay up to date with the latest VR technologies, tools, and trends, and recommend improvements to workflows and user experience.
  • Provide technical support, training, and demonstrations to internal teams or clients using VR tools.
  • Manage version control, file organization, and documentation related to VR projects.

Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in architecture, Masters in Visualization would be preferred. Proven experience in VR content creation, simulation development, or immersive visualization. Experience with VR hardware setup, calibration, and optimization.

Required Skills/Abilities
Proficiency in VR development platforms such as Unity or Unreal Engine. Strong understanding of 3D modeling and rendering tools (e.g., Blender, 3ds Max, Revit, Rhino, or Maya). Knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as C#, Python, or Blueprint (Unreal). Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
