As a Payroll Specialist, you'll ensure our Members' payroll operations run flawlessly — on time, in compliance, and with precision. You'll manage payroll processing, tax filings, and employee data with accuracy, leveraging technology to deliver efficient and trusted payroll services.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Process accurate and timely payroll for Member organizations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records in HR and payroll systems, including pay rates, deductions, benefits, and tax information.
  • Lead or support payroll audits, resolving discrepancies and identifying process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and manage payroll tax filings, deposits, and reconciliations.
  • Partner with Members to understand their unique payroll needs and ensure a positive and compliant experience.
  • Implement best practices and recommend updates to payroll processes and systems.
Who You are
  • You have a minimum of 1+ year payroll management experience.
  • You're familiar with QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) and also familiar with payroll systems such as Gusto, ADP, or Paychex.
  • High School diploma required, degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
  • You bring an understanding of payroll tax regulations, compliance standards, and accounting principles.
  • You are analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at resolving discrepancies with professionalism and accuracy.
  • You not only build rapport easily with clients, but you also maintain confidentiality with integrity, handling sensitive payroll data responsibly.
  • You're a clear communicator, team-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.

  • This is a full-time exempt position
  • The salary for this position is $40,000 to $45,000 depending on experience
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
