We're looking for a
licensed Group Benefits Placement Specialist
for a new insurance brokerage that's redefining how small and midsize businesses understand and buy insurance through its proprietary AI technology and deep industry expertise.

You'll be responsible for executing the placement of insurance coverage for new business and often times renewal business, working closely with Sales Agents, Account Managers, and carriers to ensure timely and accurate policy binding. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical expertise in coverage placement, and the ability to negotiate favorable terms with carriers. The Placement Specialist supports both client retention and agency growth by ensuring policies are accurately placed and meet client needs.

Please note: to be considered, you must have an active Florida 2-15 Life & Health license.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


• Manage the end-to-end placement process for new and renewal business, from submission to policy binding.


• Collaborate with Sales Agents to assess client needs and identify optimal carriers and coverage options.


• Negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage with carriers to secure the best outcomes for clients.


• Ensure all policies are accurately bound, meet company standards, and comply with regulatory requirements.


• Maintain detailed placement records in Applied Epic, following standardized workflows and documentation requirements.


• Proactively communicate placement progress and status updates to internal teams.


• Identify opportunities for enhanced coverage or alternative placement strategies to support retention.


• Embrace and leverage technology to improve efficiency and enhance the client experience.


• Participate in carrier and internal meetings to stay current on market trends, products, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:


• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in insurance placement, underwriting, or account management.


• Active 2-15 Florida Life & Health license


• Is able to work onsite in Brickell a minimum of 4 days/week


• Strong understanding of carrier underwriting guidelines and placement procedures.


• Proficient with Employee Navigator, agency management systems (Applied Epic preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Excellent communication skills with a client-focused and detail-oriented mindset.


• Team-player mentality, positive attitude.


• Thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Bonus if you have:


• Industry certifications such as CIC or CPCU.


• Experience in a growth-oriented or multi-carrier agency environment.

• Determining the most appropriate carrier and coverage structure for client needs.

• Negotiating pricing and terms with carriers within established authority.


• Managing prioritization of placement tasks and daily workflow.


• Determining when to escalate a placement or carrier issue to leadership.

Compensation, Benefits, Location:

  • 100% employer-paid healthcare
  • Competitive annual salary (DOE) + Bonus
