Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on B2B sales. This role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, managing accounts, and driving sales growth within the transportation and logistics sectors. The Sales Representative will utilize their expertise in transportation management systems and CRM software to effectively manage leads and negotiate contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the logistics and transportation sectors.
  • Manage accounts by understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct lead generation activities to identify potential clients and expand the customer base.
  • Utilize CRM software to track sales activities, manage customer interactions, and maintain accurate data entry.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate logistics planning and transportation management for client shipments.
  • Provide insights on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to enhance sales strategies.
  • Support inside sales efforts by responding to inquiries, dispatching orders, and ensuring timely follow-up with clients.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials that highlight service offerings in freight and logistics sales.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management, transportation management, Medical Logistics, 3PL, NVOCC, and logistics operations.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software for account management and lead tracking; familiarity with AS400 is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals effectively.
  • Ability to understand complex contracts related to transportation sales and freight services.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry tasks related to dispatching and pricing.
  • Familiarity with EDI processes is advantageous but not required.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $ $15.00 per hour
