Position Summary

Sony Honda Mobility of America (SHMA) is seeking a
detail-oriented and proactive Engagement Operations Associate
to support the execution and optimization of engagement programs, operational processes, and cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

Based in
Fremont, CA
, this hybrid role combines
corporate operations
and
studio-floor presence
, ensuring seamless alignment between strategic planning and in-person execution. You will play a key role in driving internal engagement initiatives, optimizing workflows, and supporting leadership with data-driven insights that enhance team performance and collaboration.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and enhance engagement processes to ensure efficiency, alignment, and operational excellence across teams.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track engagement KPIs, program adoption, and operational performance.
  • Execute employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and internal communications activities.
  • Coordinate engagement-related events, ensuring alignment with company values and strategic objectives.
  • Collect and analyze feedback to measure program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support leadership with operational insights by preparing reports, presentations, and key performance summaries.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for engagement-related operations, managing requests, inquiries, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in People Ops, Marketing, and Customer Engagement to align on goals and processes.
  • Participate in special projects that strengthen organizational engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain consistent presence at the Fremont studio to support live activities, events, and operational needs.

Required Qualifications For Position

  • 3–5 years of experience in operations, program management, or engagement-focused roles.
  • Proven ability to manage processes, projects, and multiple stakeholders with precision and accountability.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience building dashboards or tracking KPIs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Highly organized and proactive with strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and project or workflow management tools.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications For Position

  • Experience supporting engagement, communications, or people operations in high-growth or startup environments.
  • Familiarity with CRM or BI tools such as Salesforce, Tableau, or Airtable.
  • Background in employee engagement, internal communications, or culture-building programs.
  • Experience coordinating logistics or supporting live events and studio operations.

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid role based in Fremont, CA (corporate and studio presence required).
  • Travel Requirements: Periodic travel to SHMA locations or events as needed.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is
$80,000–$110,000
. This range does not include other compensation components or benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual rate offered depends on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, unique skills, education/certifications, and work location.
