About Us

Sparkle Montessori Preschool is a warm and welcoming early learning center serving children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. Our mission is to nurture the whole child through safe, inspiring, and developmentally appropriate environments. We are currently seeking a Preschool Director / Site Supervisor to lead our school in Fremont, CA.

Position Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering high-quality early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of licensing regulations, and experience managing preschool operations in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the preschool facility.
  • Maintain accurate records including attendance and emergency documentation.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Monitor teacher and student performance to ensure high-quality educational experiences.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and supervise staff to maintain compliance and promote growth.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and handle inquiries and concerns.
  • Conduct parent tours and follow up with prospective families to maintain full enrollment.
  • Ensure full compliance with California Child Care Licensing regulations.
  • Plan and conduct fire, earthquake, and emergency drills; document safety compliance.
  • Approve snack/meal plans and ensure proper nutrition standards.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and organization.
  • Serve as substitute teacher when needed to maintain ratios and support classrooms.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly newsletters and other parent communication.
  • Manage school budget, payroll input, and operational reports.
  • Collaborate with community organizations and Head of School on strategic initiatives.

Minimum QualificationsAge & General Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to supervise, manage, and ensure a safe environment for children.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of child development and early learning standards.
  • Current Health/TB screening
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • DOJ clearance/fingerprinting.
  • Ability to supervise and ensure a safe environment for children.
  • Infant care units are required as per California Child Care Licensing.
  • Montessori classroom teaching experience is a must.
  • AMS or AMI teaching certification is required.

Education & Experience (must meet one of the following):

  • High School/GED + 15 ECE units (including 3 in administration/staff relations) + 4 years of teaching experience in a licensed child care center.
  • Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development + 2 years of teaching experience in a licensed center (with 3 units in admin/staff relations).
  • Bachelor's Degree in ECE or Child Development + 1 year of teaching experience (with 3 units in admin/staff relations).
  • Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
  • Experience must include at least 100 days per year, 3+ hours/day in a licensed center.
  • 16 hours of health and safety training as required by HSC if applicable).
  • Classroom teaching experience in a montessori environment is a must

Schedule
