Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty:Med Surg Discipline:RN Start Date:ASAP Duration:13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift:12 hours, days Employment Type:TravelJob Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical Specialty Float Pool position requiring travel and step down experience with an active OK or compact RN license.Responsibilities Work in a hospital float pool covering med/surg and step down units Care for post-operative patients, including those with ENT and/or transplant backgrounds Patient ratios are 5-6:1 for surgical patients and 3-4:1 for step down patients Manage patients with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, and feeding tubes Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 days per week Provide nursing care for a variety of pre- and post-surgical patients Participate in patient and family education regarding procedures and care Delegates tasks to support staff as needed No OR experience will be considered for this role No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radiusRequirements Active OK or compact RN license At least 1 year of acute care surgical floor experience Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Travel nursing and step down experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program Strong organizational, planning, and communication skillsBenefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and DiscountsAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-637869.
