Job DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Med SurgDiscipline: RNStart Date: ASAPDuration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, daysEmployment Type: Travel/nJob Description/nAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with stepdown and travel experience for a float pool surgical specialty position in a hospital setting./n /n Responsibilities/nWork in a hospital float pool with a focus on surgical specialty stepdown patientsAssignment consists of three 12-hour day shifts per weekCare for patients with a range of conditions from simple to complexMust float to multiple units as required by the float pool structureProvide comprehensive nursing care including monitoring physiological data, intravenous infusions, medication administration, and assisting with minor proceduresResponsible for documentation of patient care and changes in conditionCollaborate with physicians, patients, families, and support staff to coordinate care and discharge planningDay shift position with no local candidates accepted due to a 50-mile radius ruleHoliday and weekend coverage may be required based on scheduling needs/n /n Requirements/nActive OK or compact state RN license requiredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is requiredMinimum of one year recent RN experience in a stepdown setting is requiredAssociate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program requiredTravel RN experience requiredPreceptor or charge experience preferredMust live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility/n Benefits/nHigh Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and Discounts/nAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-632024.
