Responsibilities Work in a hospital float pool serving surgical specialty and stepdown unitsDay shifts with 12-hour shifts, working 3 days per weekFloat across multiple units as neededCare for patients with a range of surgical and stepdown needsResponsible for managing an assigned group of surgical specialty and stepdown patientsPerform assessments, administer medication, monitor infusions, and document interventionsCollaborate with physicians and other staff, assist in minor diagnostic procedures, and communicate care plans to patients and families50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates are not eligible for considerationHoliday coverage may be required based on unit needsPreceptor and charge nurse experience preferred Requirements Active OK or compact multistate RN license requiredMinimum of 1 year of stepdown nursing experience requiredPrevious travel nursing experience requiredAssociate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferredCurrent BLS certification from the American Heart Association requiredStrong skills in professional nursing theory, practice, and patient care documentation Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-647168.
