Responsibilities Work in a hospital float pool covering med/surg and step down unitsCare for post-operative patients, including those with ENT and/or transplant backgroundsPatient ratios are 5-6:1 for surgical patients and 3-4:1 for step down patientsManage patients with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, and feeding tubesDay shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 days per weekProvide nursing care for a variety of pre- and post-surgical patientsParticipate in patient and family education regarding procedures and careDelegates tasks to support staff as neededNo OR experience will be considered for this roleNo local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius Requirements Active OK or compact RN licenseAt least 1 year of acute care surgical floor experienceCurrent BLS certification from the American Heart AssociationTravel nursing and step down experience requiredAssociate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited programStrong organizational, planning, and communication skills Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-637869.
