Tencent Games, established in 2003, stands as a leading platform for game development, operations, and publishing, boasting the largest online gaming community in China. Having developed and operated over 140 games, we offer a cross-platform interactive entertainment experience to more than 800 million users across 200+ countries and regions. Titles like Honor of Kings, PUBG MOBILE, and League of Legends are among our most celebrated offerings.

We also champion the growth of the esports industry, collaborating with global partners to foster an open, synergistic industrial ecology, thereby enriching digital life experiences for players.

As a Strategic Business Development and Investment Manager, you will:

• Engage proactively with US-based AI/Tech or AI+ application firms to discover collaboration opportunities and form lasting partnerships.
• Assess high-potential investment avenues and strategic alliances at the intersection of Tech/AI and Games/Entertainment, driving new business development and innovation.
• Serve as a primary representative, connecting Tencent's internal teams (studios, tech platform) with external innovators and ecosystem participants.
• Track and analyze emergent technology and AI trends within gaming and entertainment, maintaining a strategic framework for market analysis and opportunity identification.
• Collaborate directly with senior management across global AI and gaming sectors.
• Be part of an elite team formed by high-caliber executives from top-tier consultancy firms and investment banks.
• Support decision-making processes for executives and leaders within business groups.
• Develop transformative strategies and encourage innovative thinking among senior leaders.
• Plan and oversee business incubation, drive product innovation, and execute go-to-market strategies.

Who We Look For:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in tech investment or strategy consulting, ideally focused on gaming/entertainment or TMT sectors. An advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields is a significant advantage.
• Possess a strategic vision, deep business insights, and extensive knowledge of emerging technologies and market trends, especially AI applications in gaming.
• Skilled in analyzing market data, financial metrics, and technology trends to pinpoint promising opportunities in game tech/AI.
• Self-motivated, able to navigate uncertainty and execute investment strategies from ideation through execution, working collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Excellent team player with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Exceptional proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with statistical and analytical tools is a plus.

The expected base pay range for this position is $100,300.00 to $233,200.00 annually. Actual pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and stock options, evaluated on an individual basis. Employees are also entitled to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, participation in the Company's 401(k) plan, as well as paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave. Benefits may be adjusted based on location, employment status, and role level.
