- Lead cross-practice and complex RFP responses, overseeing project management from inception to completion while working closely with partners and stakeholders to meet deadlines.
- Create and customize client-focused materials, crafting new content as needed to ensure proposals are tailored to specific opportunities.
- Develop and implement effective pitch and RFP strategies based on comprehensive consultations with partners and teams, providing insightful recommendations and creative ideas.
- Manage RFP content in SharePoint, collaborating with the BD team to keep resources current and accessible.
- Identify and lead initiatives aimed at enhancing content quality, streamlining proposal processes, and improving overall pitching capabilities across the BD function.
- Coordinate responses to client RFIs, collaborating with departments such as Billing, Diversity & Inclusion, and Risk Management.
- Track RFP status and outcomes using Salesforce to ensure consistent follow-up and analysis.
- Work closely with BD teams across practice, industry, and regional lines to ensure cohesive and collaborative RFP submissions.
- Provide training and mentorship for BD staff in the pitch and RFP development process and assist in onboarding new team members.
- Collaborate with the pricing team to design customized fee proposals tailored to client needs.
- Engage with marketing specialists across graphics, CRM, public relations, and more to facilitate effective communication and enhance client service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5-7 years of business development and/or marketing experience, preferably in professional services or a law firm setting.
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills to handle multiple requests efficiently while meeting tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with partners on RFP responses.
- Exceptional writing skills with a focus on tailoring content for specific clients and opportunities.
- Experience with proposal automation tools and content management systems; enthusiastic about adopting new technologies.
- Strongly motivated, taking ownership of tasks and responsibilities with a commitment to excellence.
- Aptitude for producing the highest quality, error-free work.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to train and guide staff through the RFP development process effectively.
- Capability to assess information, foresee potential challenges, and make sound decisions.
- Focus on client satisfaction, demonstrating a commitment to providing exceptional value in all deliverables.
- Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours as required by the role.

As legally required, salary ranges are provided below. Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses, overtime, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The specific salary range is for positions located in San Francisco and Palo Alto is $104,000.00-$145,000.00, plus bonuses. For Los Angeles and San Diego, the salary range is $99,000.00-$138,000.00, plus bonuses.
