Key Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and start IVs, while performing treatments, procedures, and documenting care in line with organizational policies and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and responses to care.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment to make informed patient management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications (over-the-counter and prescription) as per physician orders.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide ancillary personnel and uphold professional nursing standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is essential.
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.
- Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of quality concepts and the ability to apply problem-solving techniques for quality improvement in patient care.
