Position: Clinical Nurse II in the Operating Room
Shift: Day
Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $93,184.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, coordinate, plan, and implement care for surgical patients throughout their hospital stay.
- Act as a patient advocate during surgical procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with the caregiving team to deliver compassionate and competent patient care.
- Document patient care and medication administration as per organizational policies and regulations.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of nursing practice.
- Evaluate patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from a professional nursing program, with a diploma, associate degree, or baccalaureate degree preferred.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in a surgical setting preferred.
- Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and the ability to apply them in the patient care context.
