As a Clinical Nurse II, you will:
- Implement physician orders; administer medications; start IVs; perform treatments, procedures, and special tests; and document all treatments according to policy and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patient conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
- Apply sound nursing judgment while making patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer prescribed medications and manage over-the-counter medication as necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing team to develop comprehensive care plans for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary staff while maintaining professional nursing standards.
- Utilize your academic background, having graduated from a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Hold a current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Obtain and maintain certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Bring a minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Exhibit excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Apply quality improvement principles and problem-solving techniques to enhance patient care.
