Employing state-of-the-art robotics, precision welding equipment, and automated machining processes, Dexter has achieved many years of success through a commitment to the principles of superior quality, continuous improvement, and unparalleled customer service.For more information about our company, access Dexter's web site at www.dextergroup.com.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Customer Service Representative is responsible for answering customer inquiries, processing orders, resolving complaints and requests for refunds, exchanges, and adjustments; as well as provides customers with product, pricing, and shipping information. Specific duties include: Responding to customer inquiries both in person and over the phone. Maintain system information including product pricing and availability. Enter customer orders, suggesting the purchase of additional products and providing technical assistance to customers when needed. Contact truck run customers for orders and ensuring that orders are placed on a timely basis. Make same-day follow-up calls to customers regarding backorders and delivery dates. Actively participate in company-defined sales initiatives to solicit potential customers, and existing customers whose sales have declined. Research customer service complaints and answer customer questions; consult with management for direction to resolve complaints. Research all customer warranty and/or return requests, completing the appropriate forms and documentation pertinent to the problem. Track shipments as necessary. At least one year of customer service experience is required. Proficiency in computer and phone skills is essential. Strong customer service skills are preferred. Previous sales experience is advantageous. Bilingual proficiency is required.
