Description :Parsons is looking for a talented Bridge Engineer I to join our Indianapolis team for our rapidly expanding portfolio of projects If you’re looking to take your career to the next level and to be a part of an amazing team and company – Parsons will provide you the resources and environment to expand in your technical knowledge and professional expertise within bridge engineering while working alongside a team of highly experienced and skilled engineers on major projects that will have a substantial impact on your communityWhat You'll Be Doing: Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of contract documents for transportation projects meeting client quality requirements –including defining the problem, establishing scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work statusAnalyzing structural issues and providing detail design that satisfies client’s needDelivering products consisting of detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analysesSupporting other discipline activities as necessaryMentoring young staff members and providing performance inputDeveloping skill sets to lead project development in the futureProviding technical guidance to young engineers and CAD Designer/Drafters on projectWhat Qualifications You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field)4 years or more of design experience is requiredScour evaluation experience on bridge highway infrastructure is desirable, but not requiredEngineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is requiredPE preferred for engineers with greater years of experienceINDOT Bridge Design experience requiredPrefer experience with the following software: Microstation and InRoads, Conspan, PGSuper, or similar, LARSA 4D or similar, FB Multiplier or L-pileSecurity Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
