Description :BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Engineer to join our team In this role you will get to perform structural design and analysis for various bridge types and related structures, manage assigned tasks, collaborate with internal and external teams, and contribute to project delivery, mentorship, and professional development under limited supervision.What You'll Be Doing:Analyze and prepare project designs, calculations and drawings for steel bridges; pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridges; cast-in-place flat slabs; and miscellaneous structures, with guidance provided on assigned tasks as requiredEffectively apply pre-established design templatesApproach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problemsPrepare engineering reports and contract documents for reviewMay assign, track, and review tasks of technicians or designers; technical discretion applied to first revision of technician work productPotential to serve as the Engineer-of-Record on assigned engineering tasksResponsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasksCommunicate effectively with team members, internal design groups, and external entities including clients, subconsultants, and relevant government agenciesEffectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external partiesAdhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely personal resume updates and participating in marketing campaignsEnsure timely completion of time sheets and expense reportsTake ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goalsContribute to the development of other team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviorsWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringEmphasis on Structural Engineering prefferedProfessional Engineer (PE)Years of Experience: 4+ yearsSecurity Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
