Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer.Responsibilities The Sr Director, Enterprise Solutions Architect will be the overall responsible leader for 'Enterprise Solution Architecture’ - Designing the solution architecture for large Enterprise wide programs and initiatives across Ascension Technologies.The Sr Direct will manage a team of Enterprise solution architects. Enterprise Solution Architects (ESAs) are solution architects focused on broad, cross cutting Enterprise level initiatives. They work on identifying and designing holistic technology solutions to enterprise grade business problems, working collaboratively across the organization and in tandem with key sponsors, business leaders, program leaders, architects and delivery leads. ESAs need a high level understanding of healthcare business to capture both functional and nonfunctional requirements for high level solutioning. ESAs provide the conceptual and logical frameworks that are executed by project teams. This role provides the continuity from early conception to solutioning to deployment. In the latter area, the ESA is responsible to set the project teams up for success with a strong technical structure and to provide guidance if issues present that deviate from the solution principles. ESAs also work with technical and business focused portfolios to evaluate the backlog of work, and recommend the technical sequencing of future work. ESAs work across COTS products, infrastructure, data, internal product development, integration, security and AI as needed per assigned solution work. Role Summary As a player and coach, working collaboratively, the candidate will partner with Portfolio Executives, Portfolio Leaders and Enterprise Architects to provide technical leadership for a portfolio of work and/or large, complex enterprise initiatives.The candidate also drives efforts to modernize technology platforms and systems, simplify application inventory to standardize technology solutions as well as reduce the overall technology portfolio based on key performance metrics and other business drivers. Candidates need to be comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment and self-driving on deliverables. There is tremendous opportunity for self-starters to influence the templates and deliverables that will drive value for Ascension Technologies business customers. ESAs are exposed to the most important and complex initiatives at Ascension. As such, the ability to conduct executive level conversations and presentations is required. Accountabilities: Detail by LevelAs a player-coach provide overall leadership for enterprise solution architecture; manage a team of ESAsProblem solving abilities spanning COTS systems, cloud infrastructure, data and AIIdentify pain points and modernization opportunitiesCreates detailed Points of View (POV), employing a domain centric collaborative approach, providing architectural perspective and technology pattern recommendations for various Enterprise Architecture initiatives and other significant bodies of work as neededCompares and contrasts different enterprise level architecture configurations and patterns based on business value, operational resilience and cost considerationsSupports the creation of strategic roadmaps that sequence technology initiatives based on business priorities and technical dependencies, aligning to the overall enterprise strategyProvides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for Architecture Review Board (ARB) Governance and Standards including serving as an AT representative on organization AI governance bodies and forumsPossesses strong architecture modeling skills, experienced in leveraging Enterprise Architecture (EA) data models. Demonstrated ability to develop various diagrams and visuals leveraging data sets within the EA data modelApplies critical thinking for the development of nuanced architecture views to meet specific needs given complexities of the existing technology ecosystem, providing actionable insightsApplies strong expertise in multiple areas of architecture, including: Business ArchitectureInformation & Data ArchitectureApplication ArchitectureTechnology ArchitectureSecurity ArchitectureResponsible for architecting solutions crossing multiple domains or business areas.Accountable for an understanding of enterprise's architecture, ie.
