The Sr. SA will work directly with customers and with customer system integrators to deploy Snowflake. This person must be a self-starter and used to a fast-paced, fun, energetic environment and comfortable with dealing with ambiguity. This person must also have a passion to solve unique world-changing technology problems. The Sr. SAt will be responsible for providing the technical expertise to make Snowflake’s customers successful.This person will have a broad range of skills and experience ranging from data architecture to ETL, security, performance analysis, analytics, etc. He/she will have the insight to make the connection between a customer’s specific business problems and Snowflake’s solution, the customer-facing skills to communicate that connection and vision to a wide variety of technical and executive audiences, and the technical skills to be able to not only build demos and execute proof-of-concepts but also to provide consultative assistance on architecture and implementation.The person we’re looking for shares our passion about reinventing the data platform and thrives in the dynamic environment. And it means working collaboratively with a broad range of people both inside and outside the company.AS A SENIOR SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:May be named to several Snowflake customersLead technical pieces of client data warehouse implementations and on-boarding effortsWork with the other Customer Engagement and Delivery matrix resources to ensure proper technical guidance, project management and functional supportCollaborate as needed with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Sales Engineering, and Professional Services teamsHelp clients troubleshoot the implementation of the product within their systemsIdentify, document, triage and track issues to ensure resolutionWork with Product Management and Support as necessary when a scoped implementation or product feature cannot be implemented or does not meet the client’s needsPlay an active role contributing to the growth and scalability of the Customer Delivery and Training and Education teams through robust documentation, continuous process optimization, and capability cross-trainingApply industry/domain/technology expertise to client implementationsGather intelligent product feedback and recommendations from customers to design and inform new features and capabilitiesOUR IDEAL SOLUTION ARCHITECT WILL HAVE:12+ years of experience in a customer facing technical roleStrong database and data warehouse experience, including recent experience writing and tuning complex SQL queriesExperience and understanding of large-scale infrastructure-as-a-service platforms Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack)Experience implementing ETL pipelines using custom and packaged toolsExperience using AWS services such as S3, Kinesis, Elastic MapReduce, Data PipelinePresence: enthusiastic and high energy, but also poised, confident and extremely professionalInnovative and assertive, with the ability to pick up new technologies and assess situations quicklyExercises listening, takes time to truly understand client needs and address themTrack record of delivering results in a dynamic enterprise or start-up environmentExperience working cross functionally with teams such as Support and EngineeringStrong sense of ownership and high attention to detailCreative and analytical problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work on several projects simultaneously and meet stated quality objectivesBONUS POINTS FOR HAVING:2+ years of practical Snowflake experienceOLAP Data modeling and data architecture experienceHands-on experience with Python, Java or Scala.Experience with non-relational platforms and tools for large-scale data processing Hadoop, HBase)Familiarity and experience with common BI and data exploration tools MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Tableau); it is not expected you will be an expert with any integrated upstream or downstream tools used to access data in SnowflakeWHY JOIN OUR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TEAM AT SNOWFLAKE:Unique opportunity to work on a truly disruptive software productGet unique, hands-on experience with bleeding edge data warehouse technologyDevelop, lead and execute an industry-changing initiativeLearn from the best Join a dedicated, experienced team of professionalsSnowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth.
