Growing, veteran-owned, and multifaceted relocation company in Louisville seeks experienced Operations Coordinator for local moving operations. Our people not only enjoy challenges but also thrive on overcoming obstacles We are seeking an experienced and like-minded Operations Coordinator with similar attributes to facilitate continued expansion.

As our Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for dispatching and tracking around 15 vehicles and 35-50 employees a day while coordinating other operational activities. It is critically important to maintain contact with the leader of each crew to ensure jobs are being performed according to established guidelines in a timely fashion and that sufficient materials and equipment are available to complete the work. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Schedules and dispatches crews, providing oversight to ensure all necessary labor, materials, and equipment arrive at each job site in a timely manner
  • Receives and maintains communications with crews regarding job status, customer satisfaction, payment, etc.
  • Upholds and enforces company standards and policies such as attendance and uniforms
  • Calculates and communicates move charges to crews, processes credit card payments, and relays authorization numbers
  • Conducts daily truck checks upon their return to base for cleanliness, maintenance, and security reasons
  • Enters and updates notes, information, and/or documentation into electronic records
  • Encourages, motivates, and mentors crews to facilitate top performance and professional growth with the organization
  • Maintains up-to-date records concerning job service dates and status, personnel assigned, and charges due/paid

This full-time position requires strong leadership, motivation, and discipline, as well as a positive, service-oriented attitude, exceptional problem-solving skills, and an ability to physically assist both movers and packers with their daily responsibilities as may be necessary in a demanding work environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in the household goods (HHG) and/or relocation industry is a plus but is not required. Prior military experience is also a plus
  • Previous dispatching experience along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • A “lead by example” mindset with an always positive outlook
  • Strong computer and investigative skills (familiarity with CRM or MS Office is a plus)
  • Clear verbal and written English skills
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Reliable transportation to/from work at our Louisville facility
