Overview
Natural Habitat Adventures is a leading provider of nature-focused global adventure travel. As a Field Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the logistical execution of our Iceland and Greenland programs. The position involves working closely with the Europe team to prep and set up the season, overseeing field operations for all Iceland and Greenland programs, and mentoring field operations staff in Iceland and Greenland while the season is running.

The successful candidate will have a highly organized approach to work, an attention to detail, and the ability to multitask successfully. They must reside in Europe or a similar time zone, with Reykjavik resident preferred. Experience in remote camps or environments with technical comprehension is also beneficial.

As a key member of our Operations Team, you will be responsible for various tasks including lead on hiring Field Staff positions, organizing and executing Field Staff training, developing schedule for movements of Field Staff, managing travel arrangements for Field Staff (flights, accommodations), supporting with review and finalization of SOPs and Field Notes, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on hiring Field Staff positions
  • Organize and execute Field Staff training
  • Develop schedule for movements of Field Staff
  • Manage travel arrangements for Field Staff (flights, accommodations)
  • Support with review and finalization of SOPs and Field Notes
  • Work on Greenland camp purchases and needs for next season, including ocean freight shipping
  • Adding Field Staff to Tigress (CRM) with shifts
  • Organize operations and gear packs to international destinations
  • Management of Reykjavik Field Team apartment
  • Create Greenland camp setup schedule and logistics
  • Emergency communication management (Garmin, Satellite Phones, Starlink)
  • Lead on marketing/media logistics, if they arise
  • Review and update emergency plan

Skills and Qualifications
Applicant must reside in Europe or a similar time zone; Reykjavik resident preferred. Three years of experience in operations and/or project management required. Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. Demonstrated leadership experience. Excellent and professional communication with multiple parties required.
