Job Summary:

The Kitchen Manager will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including staff management, food preparation, inventory control, and adherence to food safety standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, highly organized, and capable of maintaining efficiency in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and high food quality.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for food preparation and presentation.
  • Monitor food costs, portion control, and inventory to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to coordinate seamless service.
  • Assist in menu development, including pricing and seasonal offerings.
  • Handle maintenance and proper use of kitchen equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and perform under pressure.
  • Proficient in inventory management and cost control.
