Communications Lead, SDI

About this role:
This position will develop and execute a strategic communications program that drives employee engagement and business results. Supporting the Strategy, Digital & Innovation (SDI) & Global Treasury Management (GTM) organizations, this position will translate business strategies into content that informs, engages, and inspires the target market. This position can office in Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; or West Des Moines, IA and does not offer relocation assistance. The Wells Fargo job profile is Lead Communications Consultant.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to Senior Leaders in SDI & GTM
- Develop multifaceted communication campaigns including internal and external communication strategies and plans that drive business priorities
- Ensure integrated communications approach to internal and external communications
- Write and edit press releases, media pitches, key messages, talking points and other content
- Identify strategic storytelling opportunities that promote executive(s) and key initiatives
- Identify external speaking and/or social media opportunities
- Pitch and respond to reporters from key national print, newswire, radio and broadcast media outlets
- Track and measure results to ensure they are in line with intended outcomes and business objectives
- Partner with other communicators to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience developing internal and external communications strategies and plans
- Experience securing broadcast and print media opportunities with national and trade media outlets
- Experience prepping executives for media interviews or speaking engagements
- Experience building strong relationships with national business and trade news media
- Experience writing stories across various social, internal, and digital channels
- Experience developing compelling content and leveraging multiple channels for creative storytelling

Pay Range
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
