Staff Assistant (Hybrid)

POWER Engineers is seeking a Staff Assistant for our Boise, Idaho office to perform administrative tasks for engineering departments and projects. An ideal candidate would have at least 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced office environment, be familiar with current engineering tools/programs/software, be able to manage time efficiently and work independently as part of a team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide general office administrative and clerical support to staff in our Generation Business Unit including, but not limited to:
  • Book and process travel expenses
  • Submit purchase order requests as needed
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, take meeting minutes, order and setup lunches
  • Assist in new employee orientation
  • Provide project control support including, but not limited to:
  • Prepare and send document transmittals, which may include maintaining a log/database
  • Process and quality check documents on incoming and outgoing transmittals
  • Review and/or format reports, specifications and other documents
  • Organize and maintain electronic files for project record (internal and external Clients)
  • Work with multiple project team members on project deliverables
  • Support other administrative team members with tasks as needed
Required Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in office or engineering support
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Ideal candidate should be a self-starter and work independently
Desired Education/Experience
  • Associates degree in Business Administration and/or related field experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering support
  • Experience with Bentley ProjectWise, Bluebeam and Microsoft Dynamics software
