Job Summary Serves as technical expert for the sales team and advises the customer in troubleshooting technical issues, training, and offering solution-oriented sales guidance. Is the technical expert in utility commodities (water, wastewater, stormwater, gas, electric) measurement and data automation technologies and software. Will require servicing technology in both an office environment as well as in a field setting.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
  • Responsible for prospecting new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and increasing opportunities with existing customers.
  • Delivers solution sales oriented technical products, services, installations, and configurations to assigned customer for specific technical product and/or application of product.
  • Influence customer specifications for customer and company benefit.
  • Provides strategic direction to local sales team and drive a team consultative sales process with customers.
  • Serves as technical expert for the sales team and advises the customer in troubleshooting technical issues, training, and offering solution-oriented sales guidance.
  • Provides technical interface between customer and company engineering, manufacturing, and program management representatives.
  • Requires servicing technology in both an office environment as well as in a field setting.
  • Lead presentations to high level leadership.
  • Perform as primary local contact liaison with customer for contract negotiations and contract maintenance
Requirements
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
  • “2-3” years’ experience in a related field.
