Job Summary

The primary purpose of your job position is to supervise and coordinate activities of personnel on each area, on an assigned shift, promoting high quality of care; assesses the needs of residents and ensures services are consistent with needs. As a Peer Mentor with Positive Approach to Care (PAC) training your role is responsible for demonstrating the appropriate interactions, interventions and care of residents for fellow Resident Care Assistants assigned to your neighborhood as well as provide feedback in accordance with PAC training as a resource for teamwork and optimal resident care. Such care will be delivered with an emphasis on the value of providing quality customer service to all residents, family members, co-workers, volunteers, visitors, and other service professionals.

Delegation of Authority as a Direct Care Supervisor, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Position Qualifications

Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
Education consistent with that of a Medical Assistant or Nurse Aide (CNA) required.
Experience consistent with that of a Medical Assistant/Technician, EMS, or caregiving preferred.
Previous supervisory or lead experience is preferred.
Previous hands-on experience and training on injections and wound care and the ability to successfully pass a competency evaluation by an RN Instructor/Trainer within 90 days of hire.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology, Medications, Pharmacology and Body Structure and Function required.
CPR certification attained within 90 days of hire.
Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to a minimum of 50 lbs. Anything heavier than 50 lbs. must require assistance or assistive equipment for task to be performed safely.
