Payroll Assistant

We currently have an immediate opening for a Payroll Assistant with a busy manufacturer in Santa Ana, CA. The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for the following.
Payroll Position Description
- Calculating paychecks: Calculating employee wages and withholding taxes and other deductions.
- Processing direct deposits.
- Enter new hires in the system, review new hire documents hiring documents information and verify that all the documents are completed.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records, and personnel files.
- Communicating with employees about their paychecks.
- Completing reports: Completing payroll reports and tax payments by required deadlines
- Preparing W-2 forms: Preparing employee W-2 forms.
- Process quarterly taxes.
- Processing other reports: Processing employment services, worker compensation, and unemployment reports
- Process and monitor garnishment orders.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Requirement: At least 3 years of experience in payroll
- QuickBooks Enterprise
- Managed multiple responsibilities
- MS Excel
