Truck Load Dispatcher Position Overview:

A leading transportation and logistics company, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Truck Load Dispatcher to join our team in Knoxville, TN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of freight, managing drivers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule truck drivers for pick-up and delivery of freight.
  • Monitor driver progress and communicate any changes or delays to customers.
  • Utilize transportation management software to track shipments and update records.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers and customers to maximize profits.
  • Maintain accurate records of driver logs, freight bills, and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state transportation regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with drivers, carriers, and customers.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in truckload dispatching or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and industry practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in transportation management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
