About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the movement of freight, including scheduling and dispatching truck drivers.
  • Track shipments using transportation management software and update records accordingly.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers and customers to maximize profits.
  • Maintain accurate records of driver logs, freight bills, and invoices.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with drivers, carriers, and customers.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in truckload dispatching or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and industry practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in transportation management software and Microsoft Office suite.
