The Director of Development, Data Strategy & Analytics is responsible for collaborating with key internal stakeholders and contractors. In this role, you will secure and enable the intelligent use of Union Plus’ proprietary data to create value for members and inform business and marketing strategies. In conjunction with the business teams, you will develop strategies to leverage data intelligence to drive business opportunities and growth, create new value through data, improve our member experiences and improve business processes.  The Director will also lead a team to develop actionable reporting, manage the website & app backends and direct vendor relationships.

 Scope of Responsibilities:

Data Strategy, Management and Integrity

·         Collaborate with the marketing and program teams to devise solutions that provide opportunities to improve data flow and system performance, as well as create opportunities to improve business results

·         Develop complete understanding of data flow, system interdependencies and data within each integrated system to best inform data integrations and decisions

·         Define and execute the overall data management and analytics strategy including data governance, security, collection, transformation, modeling, segmentation, quality/hygiene and knowledge management processes

·         Devise comprehensive plan to create proprietary data sets that create value for the business and our members

·         Set data technology standards integrating tools and processes in support of the overarching data strategy

·         Ensure data integration and flow between website and customer information management systems

·         Set data vendor strategy and manage those relationships & contracts

 

Reporting and Analysis

·         Develop standard management reporting of customer data, activities, and interactions with Union Plus

·         Cultivate collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders by proactively identifying and addressing reporting and analytics needs that support the Union Plus strategies

·         Create standard and custom performance reporting and analytics

Mobile App Development & Maintenance

·         Lead development of Union Plus mobile app

·         Manage mobile app development & maintenance contracts and vendors

Website Maintenance

·         Lead backend website strategy, upgrade strategy, and project implementation

·         Manage website maintenance contracts and vendors

Department Management and Team Development

·         Lead and develop team of data & analytics professionals

·         Proactively and effectively work to develop skills and training plans for staff ensuring the continued professional development of the team

·         Develop resource plan to achieve objectives

·         Manage department budget and supervise expenditures

Other duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related data/analytics field

·         10+ years of relevant and progressive work experience in data management strategy, analytics & governance and backend website management

·         Minimum of 5 years in a data focused leadership position

·         Expertise in creating and implementing best practices and data processes

·         Familiarity and prior work with large consumer datasets

·         Demonstrated ability to collaborate productively with internal and external constituents to achieve positive business impacts

·         Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships & contracts that support data management to maximize value and support effective data utilization across the organization

·         Experience devising data strategies for a business focused environment and communicating those strategies and the benefits therein to key stakeholders

·         Extensive knowledge of data modeling and segmentation techniques

·         Strong experience with and knowledge of market leading data management, CRM, analytics and reporting tools
