Material Control Job Posting:

 

The Materials Control position specializes in ensuring cost-effective purchase of all materials and services as required by the procurement plan and in compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures. Responsibilities include planning, purchasing, supplier relationship, Overseeing receiving and controlling inventory, warehouse activities and all other associated material flow areas. This position reports to the President.

Responsibilities for all aspects of Supply Chain and Materials Management within the company include the following:

  • Maintain Inventory and reordering
  • Performing accurate and timely data entry within the inventory system
  • Operations Strategy
  • Establishment of strategic relationships, price negotiations, contract negotiations
  • Supplier relations management (qualification, evaluations, performance tracking).
  • Overseeing Shipping and receiving
  • Overseeing Kitting of materials
  • Inventory management, replenishment strategy development
  • Promote and lead a healthy and safe work environment
  • Work with Department heads to develop/alter policies and procedures to high work standards.

A significant responsibility of this position will also be to establish systems required for purchasing, planning, inventory control, and materials tracking.

  • 5+ years of experience in managing a material’s and/ or production organization inclusive of the responsibilities above
  • Experience with product manufacturing
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge with MS Office, MRP/ERP
