Position Opportunity:

The Facility & Engineering Planner will manage the planning and coordination efforts, as well as the documentation generation and review required to comply with Matica procedures for GMP manufacturing at Matica Biotechnologies Inc. This role leads all maintenance and calibration activities by coordinating and scheduling services and activities within Matica or through vendor or service providers.

This role will support and work with other departments to ensure the required cGMP are taken and appropriate documentation is generated for all maintenance and calibration activities. This role will also be responsible for adherence to maintenance and calibration schedules, work orders and generation of KPIs.

How you will make an impact:

  • Understanding of asset management, maintenance, and calibration, including service contracts and warranties.
  • Review Maintenance and Calibration plans, work orders and reports, for accuracy to ensure adherence to active work plans, Matica SOPs and any applicable guideline
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of asset files, both electronic and paper-based including vendor reports, maintenance and calibration schedules, and work orders.
  • Plan, track, record asset lifecycle (asset inception, planned maintenance, unplanned maintenance, calibration, etc.)
  • Responsible for the scheduling and adherence for all maintenance and calibration activities including vendor supported activities.
  • Coordinate vendor maintenance and calibration activities for all applicable equipment and systems in the facility.
  • Escalate maintenance and calibration problems or trends to management.
  • Support the asset induction process by working cross-functionally with equipment owners to ensure all applicable documentation is completed and turned over to Facilities to establish equipment files, maintenance and calibration plans as well as applicable schedules.
  • Responsible for assigning Equipment IDs and physically tagging all equipment/systems.
  • Interact with project teams and cross-functional groups including Manufacturing, Quality Control, Validation, Supply Chain, Process Development, Analytical Development and Quality Assurance to meet maintenance and calibration needs and requirements, including repairs. This also includes the shipment and receipt of equipment that has off-site maintenance, calibration, or repair needs.
  • Develop guidelines, training material, and SOPs related to Facilities, Maintenance, Calibration and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Software.
  • Subject Matter Expert and owner of CMMS Software.

As a future Matican you bring:

Education:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline preferred.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of related and relevant experience including planning, coordinating, documentation generation and review. 5+ years of experience preferred.
  • Experience working with Vendor contracts and warranties.
  • Experience supporting organizations with the management of critical documentation, procedure development, and inter-departmental coordination.

Licenses or Certifications:

  • Not required.
  • Business management or technical writing certifications are a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent coordination, planning, scheduling, time management, prioritization, and documentation skills.
  • Strong computer software skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Process management, administrative, and implementation skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage relationships with Vendor and service providers.
  • Problem solving and customer relations skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of BlueMountain RAM, preferred.
