Schedule: Full-time

Travel: No anticipated travel for this position

Basic Qualifications:

An individual must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Possess an active Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Possess DoD 8570-compliant security certifications to meet IAT II (minimum Security + certification)


Job Highlights:

OMNI Technologies Engineering team seeks a System Administrator to resolve IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, security) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure the appropriate function of hardware, software, or system functional specification. In this role, you will analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, storage, and network connectivity.

Required Skills:

  • One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in a role focused on Information Security
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in system virtualization and management
  • Two (2) or more years of experience with installing, troubleshooting, and debugging computer systems
  • Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Technical experience with multiple of the following; networking (VLAN, firewall, etc.), virtualization (ESX and/or KVM), Linux (Red Hat, Centos), Microsoft Windows (Workstation and Server), MacOS
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Office365


Desired Skills – experience in the following:

  • Working on defense systems
  • DISA STIG/STIG viewer/STIC Checklist
  • Knowledge of the Linux development environment
  • Container deployment and management
  • VMWare vCenter, ESXI, and Horizon
  • Microsoft Office (including Project and Visio)
  • Tenable Security Center & Nessus (ACAS)
  • McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and HBSS
  • RedHat Enterprise Linux/CentOS
  • High-Performance Computing/GPU Computing
  • DMZ Design and Implement
  • SysML experience is a plus for documentation.

Key Job Functions:

  • Provide system administration for assigned infrastructure and establish and maintain security as it relates to users.
  • Apply security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.
  • Support new infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
  • Write documentation for the Information Systems knowledge base.
  • Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and other system components.
  • Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
  • Recommend and implement system enhancement that will improve the performance and reliability of systems including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
  • User access management
  • Gathering and responding to operation security metrics
  • Developing standard operating procedures
  • Collaborating with the Information Security team as the IT liaison
  • Daily operation, maintenance, and monitoring of IT security systems
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure IT systems comply with applicable regulations.
  • Mentor and train IT staff on security concepts and systems
