Salary: Up to $120,000 per year

About the Role: This position is with a small CPA firm known for providing personalized and high-quality tax services. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal and state tax compliance, excellent tax management skills, and a passion for providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of federal and state tax compliance, including preparation and review of tax filings.

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax positions while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate their impact to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to address complex tax issues and provide strategic solutions.

  • Conduct tax research and analysis, and present findings to senior management as needed.

  • Support audits and inquiries from tax authorities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in tax management, with expertise in both federal and state tax.

  • Strong understanding of tax compliance and reporting requirements.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.

  • CPA designation is preferred but not required.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
