Job Summary:

Industry leading children’s consumer goods company on a rapid growth pace is seeking an Operations Coordinator to report to the Operations Supervisor. The Operations Coordinator will assist in key aspects of the companies’ domestic order processing and logistics for both US and internal operations. The role entails order processing, EDI transactions, inventory control, working with third party logistics partners, enhancing systems and processes, and collaborating with the Sales and Finance department. An ideal candidate will be a passionate team player that can effectively manage multiple tasks. This position will launch a solid career growth path for the right person in a fast paced, exciting entrepreneurial environment.

To ensure success as an Operations Coordinator, the ideal candidate will have previous experience working efficiently in a fast-paced office setting dealing with orders, EDI and inventory. The candidate should have excellent data entry, Microsoft Office, and communications skills.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manage orders for big-box and specialty customers.
  • Handle routing and provide instructions to the various warehouses.
  • Work with in-house and third-party warehouse teams to ship POs effectively and accurately.
  • Communicate and schedule freight carriers.
  • Aid in managing inventory for all domestic warehouse locations.
  • Knowledge of customer compliance rules.
  • Process and maintain domestic releases in collaboration with Sales.
  • Work with the third-party customs broker to process arrival notices and ISFs.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams to implement process improvements.
  • Provide guidance to AR staff related to chargebacks.
  • Communicate effectively and accurately with all teams.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Strong organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Years of experience in Order processing / Logistics: 1-2 years minimum.
  • Works well in fast-paced team environment
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience with WMS or ERP systems and databases
  • Passion for problem solving and business process improvement.
  • Strong work ethic, high level of motivation, willingness to learn quickly.
  • Ability to demonstrate competent self-reliance and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to multi-task while delivering accurate results.
  • Experience with working in an international business setting a plus
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.
