Summary:
The Senior Software Programmer will lead software development projects for both internal and external customers. This role involves gathering requirements, designing software architecture, developing software solutions, and providing ongoing support and troubleshooting. The Senior Software Programmer will also ensure the security and performance of software systems, working across various platforms and technologies to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead software development efforts, including the design, architecture, coding, testing, and deployment of software and systems. This includes user interfaces, business logic, databases, and system integrations with diagnostics, communication gateways, and data processing tools.
- Capture and document customer, user, and technical requirements to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Create and review software-related work products such as wireframes, user stories, process flows, test plans, reports, project schedules, and user guides.
- Conduct software development and perform unit and system testing to ensure quality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues identified during unit, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide production support for software systems, adhering to customer expectations for operational support.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect software systems and address any potential threats.
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or computer information systems.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of software development experience using Visual Studio, C#, C++, and ASP.NET (versions 5+).
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on development experience with Salesforce Sales or Service Cloud.
- Minimum of 2 years of database development experience in SQL Server 2019+ and T-SQL.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to different audiences.
- Ability to develop intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Capable of independently managing multiple assignments and overseeing a small team of developers.
- Experience in project planning, estimating, scheduling, and coordinating technical aspects of projects.
- Knowledge of automotive and automotive services industries.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of development experience on WordPress CMS platforms.
- Experience with client-side development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, PHP, and VBScript.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I or II Certification.
- Experience developing software in industries such as automotive, aerospace, defense, industrial, or manufacturing automation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure development services.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate Flows, SharePoint, and Power BI for dashboard and reporting development.
- Experience with developing Microsoft WinForms, web services, and console applications.
- Understanding of PowerShell, iOS mobile app development, and IoT applications.
- Experience with software test automation.
