About the Position: You are the expert…our client is seeking a talented and experienced Designer Showroom Manager to help lead their growing team. Our client offers their customers high-end kitchen and bath design including cabinetry, tile, plumbing and hardware. Their products are exceptional, and the ideal candidate should be as well. The successful candidate will possess the ability to provide the team with exemplary and consistent leadership, communication, and support. Their clients will receive an experience that is unsurpassed, second to none, and incredible customer service. The selected candidate will need to be adaptable, have a strong background in design and sales, and cultivate a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Showroom Management: Oversee daily operations of the showrooms, ensuring they are well-organized, visually appealing, and displays are up to date with the latest products and materials. Oversee merchandising of products in the showroom.
  • Team Leadership: Train and mentor showroom staff, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional development.
  • Sales Strategy: Along with the Sales Manager develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to stay updated on the latest trends, products, and pricing. Cultivate relationships with clients, remodelers, designers, builders, and architects to sell and develop future business utilizing effective selling skills.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Work with internal teams to address or assist with client inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Engagement: Assist team members in providing personalized design consultations with clients, understand their needs and preferences, and guide them through the selection process. Provide a high level of professionalism.
  • Design Services: Assist team members in creating attractive, innovative and functional kitchen and bath designs using software, such as AutoCAD, 20/20, and SketchUp, or hand sketches, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and client expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of prior sales leadership experience in kitchen and bath design or similar showroom coupled with successful sales and customer service.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen and bath products, materials, and industry trends.
  • Proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, 20/20, SketchUp or similar).
  • Proven sales experience including ability to set and reach goals, build and implement process improvement to increase efficiency.
  • Ability to listen and address problems, anticipate issues and make effective decisions.
  • Must have outstanding communications skills…verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to initiate and embrace change, mentoring skills and a desire to train others.
  • Lead or attend and contribute to all team and company meetings, training events or webinars.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to work across departmental lines and manage both time and people.
  • Detailed oriented and have great organizational skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
