Vibracoustic North America is seeking a first shift Manufacturing Controls Engineer. In this key role, you will provide technical support to our multi-shift production operations located in Manchester, NH.

Duties include:

· Develop programs for PLCs

· Troubleshoot complex industrial systems

· Analyze equipment specifications and work with cross functional team to develop customized solutions

· Interpret mechanical design drawings for electrical requirements

· Power up electrical systems

· Present ideas to the team on improving overall performance of equipment

· Read blueprints, diagrams and/or schematics to troubleshoot computerized and electro-mechanical production equipment.

· Maintain low voltage and high voltage systems using diagnostic equipment, prints, schematics, and equipment manuals.

· Maintain appropriate equipment documentation to setup and/or modification of equipment, logic systems and programmable controls.

· Maintain all electrical drawings, back-up controls, hardware and controls software. Performs programming and wiring as required.

· Perform regular preventive inspections of electrical wiring and connections

· Installation of electrical connections associated with safety devices such as light curtains, gating, etc.

· Recommend and implement upgraded technology to improve safety, reliability, work efficiency and to reduce electrical consumption.

· May be involved in the development, implementation or modification of PLC programs and update of associated procedures.

· Ensure equipment is properly released to production after preventative maintenance or repairs.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policy for the control of hazardous energy, chemical utilization, chemical labeling and storage, lock out, tag out, hot work programs, confined spaces, machine guarding & safety, guardian workers, fire prevention and extinguishing, etc.

· Has the authority to temporarily halt production due to safety concerns. Promptly notifies Maintenance, Production, Safety and Process Management of concerns and actions taken.

· Performs all other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

8+ years’ experience with electrical system installation, PLCs and maintenance in an industrial setting

Training & experience with pneumatics, controls, welding, plumbing and other related disciplines

Electrical license is preferred.

Experience with NPN/PNP read switches, PLC programs, hanging buss boxes, hydraulic systems, troubleshooting mac, slave, direction and other valves, thermocouples, encoders and electrical circuits required

Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using laptops and ability to wire 110, 220 and 480 systems.

Ability to write pic programs, program robotics, modify machine programs strongly preferred.
