The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with general maintenance and repair of residential homes within Fort Liberty, NC. As a Maintenance Technician, you will assist in making residential homes move-in ready. One day, you could be patching and painting walls. The next, you might update kitchen fixtures. Every day, you'll be creating the best possible experience within our residential communities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess and resolve maintenance issues onsite on vacated homes (change bulbs, fixtures, drywall repair, minor painting, installation appliance, minor pluming leak repairs)
  • Report to Foreman for daily work schedules
  • Execute short lead time projects
  • Support multiple residential sites within military installation
  • Ensure follow through on assigned maintenance tasks using in-house assignment system and respond to time-sensitive maintenance needs
  • Coordinate with other service providers
  • Other responsibilities as assigned - because every day looks different

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of related experience in a residential property setting
  • Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in residential maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of:
    • General repairs/maintenance work
    • Basic appliance and HVAC repair (replacing fixtures, installing parts)
    • Plumbing and electrical
  • Positive Attitude

  • Sense of Urgency
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Work Conditions:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
  • Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
  • Involves movement between floors, and properties to facilitate work
  • Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you
  • Ability to read and understand information presented orally and in writing

Pay & Benefits:

  • Maintenance Technician pay range: $20-$25 per hour.
  • Actual pay depends on education, experience, and performance.
