Job DescriptionWe're seeking a motivated, career-oriented Mechanic Technician to join our vehicle sustainment team in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
The role involves:
- Repair, rebuild, or overhaul major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors.
- Replace worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
- Maintenance support includes operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance, and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level.
- Effectively apply industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
- Use LogMASTRE as required.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 6+ years of qualified automotive maintenance experience, including light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, aviation ground support systems, generators, power plants, aircraft, or any diesel or gasoline-powered equipment or vehicle.
- Experience with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters.
- Able to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
- Valid Driver's License for the location in which the work will be performed.
- High School Diploma or GED.
