Who are we? An Introduction

Saint Joseph Living Center (SJLC) was established in 1988 and is situated on 9 scenic acres in Windham, CT. Sponsored by the Diocese of Norwich, our facility offers short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and end-of-life care. We are a Catholic faith-based community, but we welcome residents of all religious backgrounds. Our suburban setting provides privacy, relaxation, and accessibility, with ample parking. The center features both indoor and outdoor amenities, including a beautiful chapel with daily mass at 11:00 am, an enclosed courtyard with gardens, and a Koi Pond

What's your day like?

As an LPN at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham, you can expect to provide compassionate care to our elderly residents on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will include administering medication, updating patient records, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care. New LPNs can anticipate working various shifts, including 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., or 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. These shifts offer flexibility while still providing a structured schedule to meet the needs of our residents and maintain a high standard of care.

What we're looking for in a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

To excel in the role of an LPN at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham, candidates must possess a valid CT LPN license and demonstrate proficiency in utilizing healthcare software and tools to accurately document patient care. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential for providing top-quality care to our residents. LPNs should also exhibit empathy, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric mindset to ensure the well-being and comfort of those under their care.
