The duties and responsibilities of a Supervisory Program Management Specialist generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
Exercise managerial oversight of all human resources services, including recruitment and personnel information systems, employee records, and employee and labor relations.Assist the Director, ORMP, with the management, coordination and direction for all assigned functions of the organization, which include difficult and diverse functions on issues that affect critical aspects of the DOJ Directives Management and the JMD Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Programs.Participate in managing projects that support FOIA and directives management modernization with high complexity or risk, such as agency-wide system integrations, training, and evaluation.Provide expert advice and guidance to the ORMP Director and to subordinate staff on broad projects and programs with national impact.Oversee and provide authoritative guidance and leadership to departmental FOIA and directives programs affecting one or several major agency organizations and plans, organizes, and carries through to completion analytical studies involving issues related to key agency programs.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentYou must be a United States Citizen or National.You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.You may be required to complete a one-year probationary or two-year trial period.Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31, 1959. QualificationsTo qualify for the position of Supervisory Program Management Specialist at (GS-0301-15), you must meet AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service, which includes: 1) Providing direction of an organization or agency's Directives Management and FOIA operations; 2) Advising or providing counsel regarding policies and procedures for managing Directives and FOIA programs; and 3) Developing long-range objectives, innovations, or milestones for operational approaches to managing a program.
