We are offering a part time contract employment opportunity for a Legal Assistant at our manufacturing facility in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This is a3 days in office position. As a Legal Assistant, you will be providing administrative support to our legal department, assisting with the preparation of legal documents, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance.


Responsibilities:

• Assist in drafting resolutions and correspond with third-party agents to ensure timely filing of annual reports and related documents

• Support the preparation and submission of trademark renewals

• Provide assistance with initial legal review of advertising and marketing materials, and contracts

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with corporate record retention policies

• Conduct legal or other research as may be requested

• Assist with creating new product UPC codes on GS1 platform and maintaining accurate product records

• Draft and submit department expense reports to Finance

• Perform necessary clerical tasks including drafting correspondence, scanning, duplicating or filing legal documents

• Take on various projects and other duties as assigned

• Support the Regulatory Compliance Coordinator with various responsibilities

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a legal assistant role within the manufacturing industry
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in ensuring compliance with relevant legal regulations
• Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret legal regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence
• Experience in handling legal documentation with confidentiality and discretion
• Proven administrative office skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills, particularly in managing and organizing files and records.
