Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in the process of hiring a Grants Accountant to be a part of our team located in Austin, Texas. The role primarily involves handling tasks related to grant accounting in our organization. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Handle and manage all aspects of grant accounting within the organization
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in the processing of customer credit applications
• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date
• Resolve any customer inquiries related to the grants in a timely and efficient manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action as and when required
• Ensure compliance with all grant accounting regulations and standards
• Analyze and prepare financial reports related to grants
• Coordinate with the finance team to ensure that all financial records are accurately maintained
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts related to grants
• Collaborate with the team to develop and implement financial policies and procedures pertaining to grant accounting.• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Prior experience in grant accounting or a similar role is desired.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and data.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting software and databases.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Must possess strong ethical standards and integrity.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
