About the Role:
We are excited to welcome a dedicated Full-Time School Paraprofessional to our team in Lexington, MA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting students and teachers to ensure a thriving and inclusive learning environment. Your work will involve assisting in classroom activities, offering individualized student support, and contributing to a positive school atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Support: Collaborate with teachers to implement lesson plans and facilitate classroom activities.
  • Student Assistance: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, particularly those with special needs.
  • Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and respectful learning environment, manage classroom behavior, and support students during non-instructional times.
  • Material Preparation: Assist with the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources.
  • Communication: Keep open lines of communication with teachers, parents, and students about progress and any concerns.
  • Professional Development: Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team, patience, and empathy.
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of instructional techniques and classroom management.
