Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to become a part of our team You will prepare detailed working diagrams of products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare diagrams and drafts for mechanical devices and machines 
  • Design fixtures for internal use in assembly, testing, and machining environments in collaboration with our engineering and production management teams
  • 3D-print prototype parts and internal fixtures
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
  • Review and modify designs to reduce production deficiencies
  • Provide timely updates for drawing completion and workload
  • Create internal documentation, including ECNs, assembly drawings, and written work instructions
  • Coordinate with other colleagues regarding complex diagrams 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar specialty
  • Familiarity with machine designs and diagrams
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Solidworks, and/or Inventor

  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, fasteners, machinery, and design best practices

  • Solid understanding of tolerancing and drafting best practices

  • A good eye for elegant, yet efficient design
