Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development and improvement of manufacturing processes site-wide. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing industrial processes from inception through to start-up and certification. This role will focus on the release systems and antenna products produced on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing, configuring, and optimizing industrial processes to ensure quality compliance and efficiency.
  • Leading reviews of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participating in reviews and responding to plant production quality issues.
  • Using Lean Six Sigma tools to drive continuous product improvements and increase yield.
  • Designing and implementing manufacturing tools and fixtures.
  • Generating manufacturing assembly documentation and providing direct support to personnel in the day-to-day execution of manufacturing, inspection, and test operations.
  • Demonstrated ability using FMEA & DOE techniques to determine root cause and execute corrective actions of manufacturing process problems, workmanship defects, test failures, etc.
  • Collaborating with Design Engineering to review and evaluate New Product Development (NPD) drawings and drive new designs toward optimized production processes.
Requirements:
  • Requires proficient knowledge of job area. May have practical knowledge of project management. Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Experience in CAD, preferably AUTOCAD or PTC Creo, to design manufacturing tools and fixtures.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Clearance desired.
  • DoD Experience.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, able to work successfully both independently with minimal oversight and in a Team environment.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to generate and deliver effective presentations to Customers (such as Manufacturing Readiness Reviews), Management and peers.
  • Identify and facilitate implementation of facilities changes as required to support rate.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Experience in developing manufacturing processes and transferring such to production.
  • Support 5S improvement activities.
  • Knowledge of MRP and development of MBOMs.
Salary Range:
$96,500 - $128,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
