We are offering a contract for a permanent position in Columbus, Ohio, for a Human Resources Generalist. This role will require the individual to manage and administer various company benefit and retirement programs, and handle leave of absence and ADAAA.


Responsibilities:

• Handle and administer all aspects of the company's leave and accommodation processes in accordance with policies and applicable laws

• Act as a contact point for employee inquiries, problem resolution, and data entry related to benefits

• Collaborate with appropriate individuals to communicate, promote understanding, and use of benefit programs, leave of absence, and accommodation

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including all aspects of Benefit Administration, COBRA, and PPACA requirements, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended (ADAAA), HIPPA, Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Personnel Leave of Absence (PLA), Military leave, state and local leave laws and plans

• Assist with benefit plan renewal and open enrollment processes

• Identify areas of opportunity and address gaps/issues in internal processes and third-party provider relationships

• Develop, generate, and present reports regularly to analyze leave and accommodation data and trends

• Train employees and HR colleagues on leave and accommodation policies, processes, and state/federal leave laws

• Make recommendations for policy and procedural changes and execute approved changes

• Monitor and track absence status, documentation, and return-to-work dates

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Benefit Functions

• Experience with COBRA Administration

• Excellent communication skills

• Knowledge and understanding of Leave of Absence regulations and procedures

• Compliance and Corporate Compliance expertise

• Familiarity with FMLA and Developmental Disabilities regulations

• Understanding of Disability Law, including Intellectual Disabilities

• Experience with Long-term Disability Insurance and Short-term Disability Insurance

• Knowledge of Short-Term Disability/Long Term Disability procedures

• Experience in Medical Leave and Leave Administration

• Familiarity with Family Medical Leave and Leave Requests procedures

• Experience with ADA Accommodations

• Knowledge of HIPAA-Regulated procedures

• Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Familiarity with Human Resources Management Systems.
