Job Summary

We're seeking an organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing payroll for our entire organization, ensuring benefit payments are made and reconciled in a timely manner, and performing core accounting functions that support our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll cycle from timesheet to paycheck, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Process pay card enrollment forms, inputs wage garnishments, and files necessary documents.
  • Review timesheets and time reports, working closely with leadership and support staff to address any unresolved or pending items to complete payroll.
  • Create all payroll-related journal entries.
  • Work closely with HR (People Services) to verify and pay all benefits, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, 401k, supplemental insurance, and more.
  • Ensure all payroll, benefit-related items, and month-end reports are completed.
  • Complete all assigned bank and account reconciliations in a timely manner and with accuracy.
  • Assist leaders and team members with payroll-related inquiries.
  • Ensure all quarterly and annual items are completed.
  • Complete reports and data gathering as assigned.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years of accounting experience, specifically in payroll.
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong time-management and communication skills.
  • Experience with accounts payable, preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on location and experience.
